Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Telemetry & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, develop, and maintain the telemetry and cloud platform powering our connected products. This role will lead telemetry services, device connectivity, remote diagnostics, OTA readiness, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Telemetry & Data Platform

· Design and implement telemetry architecture and cloud data pipelines.

· Support telemetry for battery, energy, power electronics, HVAC, water, security, leveling, and expansion systems.

· Develop data ingestion, storage, monitoring, and analytics solutions.

· Create simulation and testing tools to support product development.

Cloud Infrastructure & Backend Services

· Design, deploy, and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure.

· Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and event-driven architectures.

· Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and security best practices.

· Support device connectivity, data exchange, and OTA infrastructure.

Connectivity, Diagnostics & Remote Services

· Enable secure communication between products, cloud services, and mobile applications.

· Implement device provisioning, registration, and lifecycle management.

· Develop remote command, diagnostics, and health monitoring capabilities.

· Support predictive maintenance and fleet monitoring solutions.

Cybersecurity & OTA

· Support OTA readiness, software version management, and deployment workflows.

· Implement IAM, PKI, certificate management, and secure communications.

· Participate in cybersecurity reviews and security architecture activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with software, hardware, mobile, and international engineering teams.

· Drive projects from requirements through deployment.

· Track technical risks, dependencies, and deliverables.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

· 4+ years of experience in telematics, connected vehicles, IoT, or connected products.

· Experience with MQTT, REST APIs, backend development, and event-driven systems.

· Experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.

· Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Node.js/TypeScript.

· Experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.

· Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, API security, and TLS.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with connected vehicles, EVs, RVs, or mobility products.

· Familiarity with CAN, CAN FD, J1939, and vehicle diagnostics.

· OTA platform experience.

· Knowledge of ISO 21434 cybersecurity concepts.

· Experience in startup or fast-paced product development environments.
