Job description
- Provide day-to-day data center operational support
- Diagnose, repair, and replace server hardware components
- Perform OS installations, firmware upgrades, and GPU configuration
- Monitor systems, collect logs, and support break/fix activities
- Coordinate with field engineers, vendors, and data center teams
- Manage tickets, inventory, shipping/receiving, and technical documentation
- Support hardware deployments, system testing, and operational validation
- Act as the onsite technical point of contact for operational issues and escalations
Requirements
We are seeking a Field Services Engineer - Data Center to provide onsite data center operations, server hardware support, and customer-facing technical assistance. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on server hardware experience, Linux administration skills, and basic networking knowledge who thrive in fast-paced enterprise environments., * Hands-on experience with server hardware troubleshooting, repair, and parts replacement
- Basic networking knowledge
- Linux CLI experience and ability to read Linux logs
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Customer-focused with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work on ladders when required
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including after-hours and weekends
Preferred Skills
- Prior Dell Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience
- RoCE networking experience
- NVIDIA GPU/NIC experience
