Job description

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a DevOps Engineer on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.

The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Configures CI/CD for multiple web applications.
  • Takes source code, dependencies to perform application builds.
  • Performs automated testing and security scans.
  • Deploys to multiple environments (Dev, Staging, Operations)
  • Creates and maintains pipelines to multiple environments across multiple security enclaves (low to high development)
  • Responsible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
  • Authors helm charts to deploy resources to OpenShift platforms.
  • Manages and documents system security, by performing software updates in response to scan findings, document system, architecture to demonstrate security compliance.

Requirements

Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.

Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or any related field/major, or 3 additional years of experience in information technology.

  • 5-8+ years of experience., * Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to manage networking for web applications by understanding PCP/IP and DNS.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift, with ideal knowledge of AWS.
  • Experience creating and modifying Helm charts and configuring deployments to multi-environments (e.g., dev, stage, prod) across multiple security domains
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (one or more of Terraform, Cloud formation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
  • Experience with Gitlab and Gitlab CI/CD pipelines (knowledge of Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar will be considered)
  • Knowledge of containerization, monitoring & logging, and network & security.
  • Experience deploying and managing databases, interacting with databases via SQL and ORMs.
  • Experiencing monitoring and updating tokens.
  • Comfortable using Python and BASH to create systems tooling.
  • Ability to contribute code updates/tweaks to existing code repositories.
  • Experience with integrating security components with applications and databases.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with software system design, able to create application architecture for new applications.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management and Request for Change process for review and assessment.
  • Experience with delivery of an integrated solution using Agile software delivery techniques.
  • Technical certification Network +, Security +, Oracle or specializing in Software Development, or Cloud Computing.
  • Experience in System Engineering and project/program management.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with NGA enterprise products (including NGA CORE tools; ie Wormhole)
