Job description

Client/Project Context: Working on a large-scale modernization of their legacy mainframe broker-dealer data platform, moving towards a distributed, Google Cloud Platform-based system. They are looking for candidates who can accelerate development using Agentic AI.

Requirements

  • Strong backend engineering principles are the absolute priority. AI skills cannot compensate for weak fundamental coding and engineering practices.

  • Java, Google Cloud Platform, Kafka, and Database skills.

  • The client is now entirely open to .NET engineers alongside Java profiles.

Candidates must be able to use AI to solve complex engineering problems and build AI agents (not just basic prompt engineering).

  • Basic Python knowledge is required to build agents, but deep LLM modeling is not necessary.
  • Currently, there are no restrictions regarding tokenization for building these agents.

Broker-dealer or financial background is considered a "nice to have," not a strict must-have.

The client values strong engineering foundations and recent aptitude in AI over a specific number of years of experience.
