Job description

Cloud Computing Microsoft Office Network Switches Hard Disk Drives Operating Systems Microsoft Outlook Computer Hardware Inventory Staging Business Valuation Packaging And Labeling Full Stack Development Artificial Intelligence Business Transformation Network Planning And Design Troubleshooting (Problem Solving), Be part of one of the largest cloud computing services in the world! The Data Center Technician will work overnights to support the growth of networking infrastructure in the Midwest. The Data Center Technician will troubleshoot and install services to maintain computing operations. The position works overnights 3-4 times per week., * Work overnights in a data center setting.

  • Prepare stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches).
  • Follow specific instructions, checklists, guides, standard protocols, and emails.
  • Set up equipment properly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
  • Perform post-execution quality checks and verify grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures.
  • Quickly identify the cause(s) of issues, and replace faulty components.
  • Decommission hardware for simple changes and refresh (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) following standard procedures with minimal guidance.

Requirements

  • Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Required: Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
  • Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Required: Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays.
