Automate provisioning and lifecycle management of AWS services-including identity, compute, storage, backups, networking, logging, and monitoring-using Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Deploy, configure, harden, and maintain infrastructure across AWS and hybrid environments following secure baseline standards.

Standardize reusable IaC modules, promote best practices, and improve environment consistency across dev/test/prod.

Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows using tools such as Git, Terraform, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Docker.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and automation issues to ensure reliability, performance, and mission continuity.

Implement operational visibility with logging/monitoring improvements and actionable dashboards (as applicable to your environment).

Apply cybersecurity best practices and support zero-trust and compliance-aligned infrastructure operations (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27000).

Collaborate with security and networking teams to implement secure configurations, change controls, and audit-ready operational processes.

Support business continuity and disaster recovery (DR) requirements and operational readiness.

Work closely with engineering, security, networking, and application teams to support mission needs and delivery timelines.

Partner with data engineers and scientists to enable infrastructure needs for data pipelines and machine learning workflows.

Maintain high-quality engineering documentation including SOPs, system diagrams, and secure configuration baselines.

Summarize and present findings and recommendations-both written and verbal-to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree. Additional Four(4) years of exp is needed in lieu of degree.

Four (4) to Ten (10) years of hands-on experience in AWS, cloud infrastructure, and/or enterprise IT operations.

Strong hands-on expertise with Terraform for AWS infrastructure automation.

Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices with tools such as Git, Terraform, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, Docker.

Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.

Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, zero-trust concepts, and compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27000.

Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Kiro) to accelerate delivery while maintaining strict quality via testing, reviews, and security practices.

Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across Engineering, DevOps, and Architecture functions.

Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional (or equivalent).

CompTIA Security+.

Exp with Grants.gov applications.

Experience provisioning and implementing data pipelines for lakehouse platforms such as Databricks or AWS services including S3, Lake Formation, Glue, and Athena.

Ability to design and optimize AWS data solutions, including migration pipelines, ETL workflows, and serverless architectures.

Experience with monitoring and SIEM tools such as CloudWatch and Splunk.

Experience supporting enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
Benefits & conditions
The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
