Job description

The BI Analyst II - Report Developer partners with business stakeholders to translate reporting and analytics requirements into scalable, high-quality dashboards and reporting solutions. This role designs, develops, and enhances BI reports in accordance with project requirements and technology standards, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and usability. The BI Analyst II delivers customer-focused analytics solutions that support operational efficiency and informed business decision-making., * Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI and MicroStrategy dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
  • Build and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and SSRS reports to support business intelligence initiatives
  • Lead the BI development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, user validation, and deployment
  • Partner with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Analysts, and business users to deliver scalable, high-quality reporting solutions
  • Perform data analysis and contribute to database design and technical solution architecture
  • Develop technical documentation and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
  • Conduct unit, integration, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing to ensure solution quality
  • Troubleshoot production issues, provide operational support, and proactively identify reporting improvements
  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 6+ years of software development experience, including large-scale enterprise systems
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (SSIS, SSAS, stored procedures, performance tuning) and Power BI (DAX, Power Query, M)
  • 4+ years of SQL development, relational databases, and performance tuning
  • 3+ years of experience with data warehouses, tabular/multidimensional data models, and MicroStrategy dashboards
  • Experience with application development, implementation, business requirements gathering, prototyping, and solution design
  • Knowledge of Azure, AWS, Microsoft Fabric, and DevOps preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent communication, customer service, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information (HIPAA/PHI) and demonstrate attention to detail, initiative, flexibility, and service excellence
