Job description
The IT Support Engineer II manages advanced escalations, localized server infrastructure, and network platform configurations. This tier focuses on deep structural root-cause analysis rather than transactional single-user fixes, maintaining the structural stability of client network deployments and on-premises server stacks., · Server Nodes Administration: Deploy, modify, and manage physical and virtualized server environments (Hyper-V, VMware) including Active Directory Group Policies, DNS zone changes, and DHCP alterations.
- Network Infrastructure Management
· Network Fabrics Configuration: Configure and troubleshoot managed switches, perimeter firewalls (e.g., SonicWall, Fortinet), logical VLAN routing arrays, and cross-site VPN tunnels (IPsec/SSL).
· Performance Auditing: Monitor network performance metrics, adjusting throughput limitations and traffic optimization policies when bottlenecks appear.
- Backup Verification & Recovery
· BCDR Management: Oversee, validate, and patch backup routines across Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) systems (e.g., Datto, Veeam, Acronis).
· Data Recovery Operations: Perform successful testing and execute live file, folder, and virtual machine image-level restorations during incidents.
Position Responsibilities:
- DAILY time entry accounting for at least 9 hours

- Backup Maintenance
- Configuration of standard mail and messaging clients including Outlook
- Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and customization of MS Office Suite applications per customer's preferences
- Understanding of and ability to install, configure and test workstation hardware including video cards, NICs, sound cards, and hard drives, smart phones and tablets.
- Server - Experience preferred with Windows Server
- Configure file, print and remote access services
- Administration, including add/remove users and groups from both cloud and on-premises directory systems, configure file permissions, and check event logs
- Configure and restore from backup
- Administration of enterprise e-mail application, including add/remove users and group, configure folder permissions if applicable, forward mail to other accounts, and add aliases

· Routing & Systems Mastery: Proficient administration of routing rules, secure access control lists (ACLs), and firewall configuration.
· Scripted Management: Foundational experience leveraging command-line management tools (PowerShell) for RMM management and automation tasks.
· Preferred Credentials: Active CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or advanced Microsoft Rollout certifications.
