Job description
A Systems Engineer I is primarily responsible for the health and maintenance of the data center, cloud and desktop infrastructure within Monument Health. A Systems Engineer I is responsible for needs assessment and implementation of key data center services including servers, storage, cloud, and desktop infrastructure technology. A Systems Engineer I is responsible for troubleshooting the data center, storage, cloud, and desktop infrastructure as first tier support, escalating or resolving issues utilizing various system tools., * Provide support to the organization, division, and peers as a critical function of all IT professionals. Support includes day-to-day peer level support, emergent after hours support, and any support required to maintain highly reliable IT systems.
- Document processes and activities appropriately to maintain highly reliable IT systems. Provide required elements to Call Tracking, Project Management, Change Management, and Disaster Recovery Services Guides to achieve this goal.
- Maintains and modifies systems software/hardware to ensure proper operations and to ensure clients have continued access to the system
- Monitor, analyze, and identify issues to resolve software, hardware, and data center problems.
- Maintain awareness of security procedures to ensure appropriate physical access, system/network access and process/data integrity as mandated by policies and regulations (i.e. Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.).
- Research and evaluation of new equipment and technologies shall be addressed as necessary or requested.
- Knowledgeable of Monument Health's overall corporate IT infrastructure.
- Consults, trains, and in-services department personnel as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education - Associates in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or Related Field
Certifications - A+ Certification - CompTIA; Net+ Certification - CompTIA; Security+ Certification - CompTIA; Server+ - Accredited University or accredited training professionals
Experience - 1+ years of Computer/Information Technology Experience and/or 1+ years of Related Experience
Physical Requirements: Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
