Job description
We are seeking a Senior IT administrator to oversee all IT operations within a fast-paced pharmacy environment with approximately 150 users. You will lead the day-to-day administration of our IT environment, personally handling most technical support, system administration, and infrastructure responsibilities. You will manage a junior Helpdesk Technician and partner with our MSP for major infrastructure projects and complex issues requiring additional expertise.
This role is responsible for HIPAA compliance as it relates to IT systems, infrastructure, and technical safeguards, including the protection of electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI).
This is a full-time, onsite position based in our Culver City office and requires 24/7 on-call availability., * Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of IT support, including help desk operations, infrastructure, and application support in a healthcare environment
- Ensure high availability and performance of systems supporting a 24x7 pharmacy operation
- Maintain IT documentation, system procedures, and technical policies aligned with HIPAA Security Rule requirements
- Manage IT vendors, including system providers, cloud services, and infrastructure partners
Requirements
- Hybrid Active Directory (on-prem + Azure AD / Entra ID)
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 - Exchange, Azure / Entra ID (identity governance, conditional access, device compliance)
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012+ DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory services
- MDM solutions: Microsoft Intune and IBM MaaS360
- RingCentral VOIP administration
- Microsoft SQL Server management
- Microsoft Hyper-V server management
- Ubiquiti networking, firewall, and Wi-Fi equipment
- Implementation of encryption, MFA, EDR, logging, and monitoring tools
- Solid understanding of laser and thermal printers and print servers, * 7+ years of progressive IT experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting IT systems in healthcare or pharmacy environments, including implementing HIPAA compliance.
- Expert troubleshooting skills across systems, networks, and applications
- Experience supporting both on-site and remote users
- Strong communication skills
- Availability for 24x7 on-call support
