IT and Service Technician (hybrid) job descreption (Five years of office equipment repair and IT - networking experience required)
Core Education & Certifications
- High School Diploma
- Associate Degree: Electronics, computer science, or network engineering preferred.
- CompTIA A+: Validates basic hardware troubleshooting and operating systems knowledge.
- CompTIA Network+: Proves understanding of IP addressing, routing, and subnets.
- OEM Certifications: Factory training from brands like (Preferably Toshiba), Ricoh, Xerox, or Konica Minolta.
Technical & Networking Skills
- IP Networking: Configuring static IPs, subnet masks, gateways, and DNS settings.
- Print Protocols: Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, raw port 9100, LPR/LPD, and IPP.
- Network Scanning: Setting up SMBv3, FTP, and secure SMTP authentication for Scan-to-Email.
- Security Standards: Configuring SSL/TLS certificates, 802.1X authentication, and hard drive encryption.
- Driver Management: Installing and troubleshooting PCL6 and PostScript drivers across enterprise print servers.
Hardware & Mechanical Skills
- Electromechanical Repair: Replacing rollers, fuser units, laser assemblies, and transfer belts.
- Diagnostic Tools: Using multimeters to test voltage, continuity, and circuit boards.
- Schematic Reading: Interpreting complex wiring diagrams and technical service manuals.
Soft Skills & Physical Requirements
- Customer Service: Explaining complex technical problems to non-technical office workers.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Clean Driving Record: Necessary for traveling daily between different client corporate sites., * Ability to deliver, install, and connect office equipment on-site.
- Strong understanding of equipment processes to efficiently troubleshoot and repair hardware.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize service calls.
- Strong problem-solving skills regarding network and hardware issues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service.

- Valid driver's license.
- Previous experience in customer service.

- IT on-site training and completion of 6-month benchmark training.
