Job description
As a Senior Agentic Software Engineer, you architect systems, set technical direction, and drive engineering standards across teams, shipping faster and smarter with AI coding agents as core development tools. You operate with limited oversight and broad organizational scope, with wide latitude to set objectives and approaches for critical technical initiatives. You make the high-impact architectural and strategic calls that shape the platform's technical foundation, weighing innovation, risk, scalability, and business impact. And you shape how the whole organization builds with agents: driving the adoption and standardization of tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot, establishing best practices, prompt libraries, and workflows that lift productivity company-wide, designing the org's agentic workflow strategy, and architecting the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server ecosystems that give AI agents secure, structured access to internal tools, data, and platform services. Requirements
role is based onsite in Phoenix, AZ, on a fast-paced, highly collaborative team that spans US and international time zones. Expect 8+ years of full-stack and architectural experience and expert-level fluency with coding agents, across TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET, a front-end framework like React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular, and a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
You fit if you lead by example and bring both depth and influence: you set the quality bar for AI-generated code across teams, you mentor engineers on prompt engineering and agentic workflow design, and you help shape technology investment decisions. You care about the product and the member on the other end, you collaborate across product, design, and engineering, and you revitalize services that have outlasted their original design through refactoring, migration, and cloud-native distributed architecture. A deep understanding of MCP and architecting MCP server ecosystems, advanced prompt engineering with reusable patterns and libraries, RESTful APIs and microservices, streaming platforms like Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ, containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD rounds out the picture, and experience with Azure AI Foundry, RAG, LangChain, or graph-based data technologies is a plus.
