Job description

  • Develop ontologies and taxonomies using Apache Jena and RDF4J; build and refine knowledge graphs aligned with BIAN and MISMO standards
  • Design scalable linked data and semantic model architectures integrating multiple data sources
  • Ensure data interoperability using RDF and OWL; design metadata schemas and common data vocabularies
  • Use Protégé and TopBraid Composer to define and manage ontology structures
  • Integrate Neo4j, ArangoDB, and Blazegraph for data querying; leverage SPARQL endpoints and GraphDB/JanusGraph for analytics
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams for NLP and contextual data retrieval via knowledge graphs

Requirements

Our client is seeking an experienced Ontologist / Knowledge Modeler to drive the design and implementation of knowledge graphs, ontologies, and data models. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise with graph database technologies and open-source tools to build scalable, interoperable solutions aligned with financial industry standards such as BIAN and MISMO., * RDF/OWL, SPARQL, and knowledge graph platforms (Neo4j, ArangoDB, Blazegraph)

  • Apache Jena, RDF4J, GraphDB, JanusGraph
  • Knowledge graph visualization: Graphistry, Gephi
  • Protégé, TopBraid Composer
  • Python or Java for custom graph applications
  • BIAN and MISMO industry standards

Preferred Skills
