Job description
- Analyze network capacity and recommend adjustments to meet volume and performance demands.
- Supervise network operations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
- Review and approve equipment configuration prototypes including network hardware, software, servers, and operating systems.
- Review and approve solutions for network problems and incidents.
- Review and approve conceptual, logical, and physical network designs.
- Develop procedures to track, project, and report network availability, reliability, capacity, and utilization.
- Develop or recommend network security measures such as firewalls, security audits, and automated probes.
Requirements
We are seeking a Network Engineer V to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise network design, implementation, and operations and a proven ability to plan and deliver scalable, secure network solutions that meet user and business requirements., * Strong creativity, verbal and written communication, problem solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Expert mentoring skills with the ability to provide support and constructive feedback.
- Expert knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to data storage.
- Expert knowledge of configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating systems, and internet directory services.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience planning and implementing network upgrades in enterprise environments.
- Background in network security practices and auditing.
