We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Integration Engineer to support the modernization of mission-critical telecommunications infrastructure. This role focuses on integrating fiber and IP-based circuits while leading the transition from legacy copper and TDM transport systems to modern IP-enabled architectures across geographically distributed environments.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Analyze network architectures, engineering drawings, and system requirements to identify design improvements and integration requirements.
  • Lead modernization initiatives involving migration from legacy copper and TDM transport systems to fiber-based IP networks.
  • Support technical integration of enterprise networking infrastructure including optical transport, fiber, IP networking, and hybrid legacy environments.
  • Configure, optimize, troubleshoot, and validate enterprise network protocols including BGP, TCP/IP, MPLS, and IPv6.
  • Perform circuit turn-up, network cutovers, migration activities, and end-to-end testing to ensure operational readiness.
  • Troubleshoot complex network and telecommunications issues across fiber, optical transport, and legacy infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership during deployment activities while coordinating with engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Present technical updates, architecture recommendations, risk assessments, and integration plans to leadership.
  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure system reliability, redundancy, and operational continuity.
  • Support long-term infrastructure planning, network growth, and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering, systems administration, telecommunications, or infrastructure engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise networking technologies including BGP, TCP/IP, MPLS, and IPv6.
  • Experience with optical networking, fiber infrastructure, SONET transport, metro ring architectures, and wired/wireless networks.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical network infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration and infrastructure modernization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading large-scale technical integration projects.
  • Cloud networking experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with network capacity planning and infrastructure forecasting.
  • Cisco CCNA or Network+ certification.
  • Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification.
  • AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certification.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience supporting federal or other highly regulated mission-critical environments.

Benefits & conditions

Salary: $105,000 - $167,000 per year
