Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead multiple engineering teams responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise software applications. This leadership role requires a strong technical background combined with proven experience managing software engineering teams, driving technology strategy, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions., Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with business and technology objectives.

Drive architecture discussions and recommend scalable, high-quality software solutions.

Ensure adherence to SDLC, coding standards, security policies, and software engineering best practices.

Partner with business leaders, architects, product owners, and infrastructure teams to deliver strategic initiatives.

Develop and maintain technology roadmaps that balance business priorities and technical debt.

Drive software quality, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

Implement proactive monitoring, resiliency, and incident management practices.

Coordinate project planning, resource allocation, dependency management, and release schedules.

Manage engineering budgets, vendor relationships, and software investments.

Lead performance management, coaching, mentoring, and career development for engineering teams.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

Identify technology risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), cloud technologies, software architecture, Agile delivery, and people leadership while partnering with business and technology stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives.

Must-Have Skills

12+ years of software engineering experience

5+ years managing software engineering teams

Strong leadership experience managing multiple development teams

Expertise in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Experience leading enterprise application development

Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)

Software architecture and system design

AgileScrum methodologies

Technical roadmap planning and execution

Cross-functional stakeholder management

Software quality, reliability, and operational excellence

Budget, resource, and project management

Coaching, mentoring, and performance management, Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

12+ years of software engineering experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.

Experience leading enterprise software development organizations.

Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud computing, distributed systems, and modern engineering practices.

Experience delivering large-scale software projects using Agile methodologies.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Experience managing engineering budgets, staffing, and strategic planning.

Preferred Skills

Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native development.

DevOps, CICD, Infrastructure as Code, and automation experience.

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized applications.

Knowledge of security, governance, and compliance frameworks.

Experience with data-driven engineering metrics and operational dashboards.
