ADABAS Natural Programmer

Provide application development and programming support using Natural in an ADABAS environment. Work closely with business units and IT analysts to understand and implement business requirements. Support and enhance systems related to Retirement Claims and Financial Services. Participate in all phases of the development life cycle, including design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance. Assist up to three permanent staff members with onsite instruction, mentoring, and technical guidance. Modify, test, and implement changes to existing systems. Create and maintain technical documentation as needed.

6+ years of hands-on experience with Natural programming and ADABAS databases. Experience working in the NaturalONE/Eclipse environment. Solid knowledge of payroll, accounting, or financial systems (Retirement Claims knowledge is a plus). Experience with production support and troubleshooting application issues. Comfortable providing training, mentoring, and support to junior or permanent staff. Ability to collaborate remotely with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with JCL, batch and online processing. Experience writing or maintaining technical documentation. Understanding of software version control and development best practices. Exposure to integration of legacy systems with modern platforms.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
