Job description

This on-site position will support the Troy District Court located at 520 W Big Beaver Road, Troy, Michigan 48084. The Application Support Specialist will be responsible for providing end-user technical support for personal computers, software applications, courtroom audio and visual systems, and related technologies used by court personnel and members of the public. The selected candidate must be able to learn, support, and troubleshoot MiFILE and other court-specific applications, including courtroom audio and visual broadcast and recording equipment. Responsibilities include responding to and resolving technical issues for court staff, judges, and judicial staff; assisting users with routine technical questions; troubleshooting audio, visual, or computer-related issues during court proceedings as needed; and escalating advanced technical issues to the County Information Technology team. This position requires onsite presence five days per week. Full or partial remote work is not available. Interview Process: Candidates will interview with District Court Administration and will report to District Court Administration if selected. Background Check Requirement: The selected candidate must successfully complete a background check prior to contract execution.

Requirements

The candidate should have one to three years of relevant experience providing application support, desktop support, end-user technical assistance, or related information technology support services in a professional environment. Technical Environment: The candidate will support and work within an environment that includes courtroom audio and video broadcast and recording technologies, including JAVS and BIS; hybrid meeting platforms, including Zoom; court document management systems, including the Courts MiFILE solution; Adobe Acrobat; Microsoft Visio; the Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint; and related technical tools and systems.
