We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Application Engineer to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise applications. This role is responsible for ensuring application reliability, security, compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting critical business functions.
The Application Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to understand requirements, configure and enhance applications, troubleshoot issues, and support successful deployments. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Successful Candidates Will:

- Deliver exceptional customer service and support., 1. Application Design, Support & Administration
- Design, configure, customize, and optimize enterprise applications, including core business platforms, document management systems, IT service management (ITSM) tools, file transmission systems, and payment-related applications.
- Coordinate and execute application installations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions.
- Provide post-deployment support to ensure stable and reliable operations.
- Monitor application health and proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance and functionality.
- Analyze user feedback and operational data to enhance application effectiveness.
- Technical Consultation
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand requirements and technical challenges.
- Provide expert guidance on product capabilities and recommend effective solutions.
- System Integration
- Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to integrate new technologies with existing infrastructure.
- Ensure reliable and secure data exchange across core platforms, customer-facing solutions, and back-office systems.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Serve as a liaison between IT teams, business units, and external partners.
- Provide regular updates regarding application performance, project status, and operational initiatives.
- Training & Documentation
- Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and support materials.
- Train end users and internal teams on new applications, enhancements, and system upgrades.
- Service Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Maintain knowledge of company systems, products, regulatory requirements, and business processes.
- Support projects, audits, compliance initiatives, and operational improvements.
- Foster collaborative relationships across departments to support issue resolution and service delivery.
- Assist with cross-functional planning and coordination to minimize business disruption.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Monitor application performance, resolve issues, and ensure assigned work is completed effectively and on schedule.
- Utilize Agile methodologies to manage and prioritize work activities.
- Comply with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete required training and development activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive company and customer information.
- Support team members through knowledge sharing and mentoring.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience as an Application Engineer, preferably within banking, financial services, or another regulated industry.
- 2-3 years of experience supporting or administering enterprise applications.
- Experience with tools and technologies such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, DNA, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with APIs, middleware, and systems integration.
- Working knowledge of operating systems, networking concepts, server administration, and cloud technologies.
- Experience supporting cloud-based applications and platforms.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within a business environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information and work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Strong listening skills with the ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Supervisory Relationship
- Reports directly to the Applications Service Manager.
Internal Relationships
- Works closely with Information Technology teams, business stakeholders, department leadership, and senior management.
External Relationships
- Interacts with third-party vendors, service providers, and technology partners as needed.
