Systems Administrator

IRG Clients is seeking an experienced Server Administrator to provide temporary staff augmentation support within a modern enterprise data center environment. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining, monitoring, and supporting server infrastructure while working closely with senior systems administrators., * Support senior systems administrators with daily operations.

• Perform routine maintenance within the on-campus data center.
• Install server patches, updates, and security fixes.
• Monitor server performance, availability, and overall health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues.
• Maintain system documentation and follow operational procedures.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, including work outside normal business hours as needed.

• Proven experience supporting servers in modern data center environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with server maintenance, patch management, and monitoring tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
• Willingness to support after-hours maintenance and operational requirements., * Experience in a higher education environment.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure professional who can quickly contribute to day-to-day server operations and ensure the stability, security, and reliability of critical systems.
