Job Description: As a Scrum Master II, you'd mostly be responsible for facilitating the learning and growth of our Agile teams, helping them develop a lean-Agile mindset, maximize throughput, and achieve more predictable delivery. What You'll Do You'll support our delivery teams, be a master at the art of facilitating agile ceremonies, develop and manage best practices around backlog management, offer advice and guidance, and more! Who You Are You are curious, open-minded, believe in inclusion and diversity. Here are a few additional tidbits that describe you: You've got 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master. You also have working experience with Scrum, Kanban, and Agile scaling frameworks (preferably SAFe). You've got your bachelor's degree (preferably in information technology) It's also a big plus if you've already got your Scrum Master certification, or an equivalent professional certification. You are a resident of Atlanta, Georgia area. You are willing and able to receive constructive feedback and advice with a growth mindset. You have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, particularly in a virtual video environment over Microsoft Teams KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lean/Agile Events Facilitation Facilitate contextual adoption of the Scrum Framework, including daily scrum, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews & retrospectives, and other related team and intra-team meetings Facilitate and participate in scaled events, including cross-team planning, dependency management, delivery synchronization, and systems-level inspect & adapt Sustain and promote usage of information radiators for the teams and broader organization Planning Prepare and facilitate quarterly, release, and sprint planning with the product owner and the team Guide Feature and Story-level refinement to the Definition of "Ready" in preparation for the next quarter and upcoming sprints Work with the team and Product Owner/Managers to maintain a healthy backlog and rolling short and mid-term planning for upcoming releases Team Support Able to put ego to the side and the "desire to control" the team by teaching and mentoring increasing levels of self-organizing behavior. Engage the organization to remove impediments to the team's ability to perform by working closely with the team and stakeholders, including product owners/managers, leadership, and other teams. Support communication of delivery progress, gaps, and obstacles with a wide variety of stakeholders; coach product owners/managers to play an active role in stakeholder engagement. Facilitate cross-team orchestration, tracking and following up with internal and external dependencies. Act as a buffer between external distractions and the focused environment the team needs to be successful. Where beneficial, protect the team and minimize disruptions Forms and guides teams to high performance by helping the team navigate interpersonal conflicts, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Create and sustain an environment of psychological safety and trust among team members, and between the team and the larger organization. Works with team to co-create and refine team working agreement, definition of "ready", and definition of "done." Collect and share transparent team metrics with teams, recommend new metrics for the team's context, and foster continuous improvement conversations using metrics. Must Haves: Strong Kanban management expertise, including flow-based metrics (cycle time, WIP limits, throughput), backlog flow optimization, and the ability to apply Kanban pragmatically alongside Scrum to improve predictability and delivery momentum. Effective facilitation and team coaching skills, with a proven ability to build trust quickly, foster psychological safety, and guide teams toward self-organization, continuous improvement, and experimentation in fast-changing delivery systems. Experience operating in scaled Agile environments, including cross-team planning, dependency management, inspect-and-adapt events, and alignment across multiple platform and product teams. Strong systems thinking and delivery discipline, demonstrated by effective backlog management, metrics-driven conversations, impediment removal, and clear communication of progress, risks, and tradeoffs to product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders. Strongly Desired but not expected due to early industry adoption: Hands-on experience coaching teams through agile, spec-driven development transformation, particularly shifting from traditional Scrum execution to more intentional, design-first or spec-driven development models in complex enterprise environments.
