Job description
Our team is attached to the Manufacturing Information Systems team and is responsible for Technical Integration of Manufacturing Systems at our multiple manufacturing sites in the Americas. We are looking to add a full-time Senior Integration Software Engineer to help facilitate both the ongoing support of existing systems as well as system upgrades and integration for new systems.
Day-to-day job responsibilities:
- Development or modification of manufacturing middleware
- Support related to software and interfacing with key users using Service Now
- Daily team standups using Agile and Gitlab for software management
- Collaboration with key individuals and team lead
- Documentation of processes, installation, and release notes
- Work with SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) on observability of middleware/software
Technical Environment:
Currently these systems are predominantly Windows Servers running .NET Framework applications in C# application on with UI (user interfaces) in either legacy ASP.Net or WPF with back-end Oracle Database. These systems are deployed on VMware ESXi clusters on premise in datacenters at our facilities. This model is moving towards a micro service architecture using containers on Kubernetes (K8) using .NET Core with UI in Blazer and database in PostgreSQL on VMware Tanzu.

Internal users at our production manufacturing sites in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Size of team:
The Integration team consists of 11 people and includes: 1 Manager, 1 Team Lead, 1 Architect, 6 Developers, 1 Site Reliability Engineer
Requirements
- Degree: Computer Science background or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5-7+ years overall.
- Setting: 2+ years in production manufacturing preferred.
- Computer skills
- Languages: C#(.net)/Blazor (preferred), Java (preferred)
- Data: PostgreSQL and Oracle (Must understand Relational Databases)
- Infrastructure: Command of Windows/Linux, Kubernetes, and CI/CD Pipelines (Gitlab CI/CD)
- Methodology: Operates natively within Agile/Scrum Principles.

- Paid time off, Travel Requirements: Up to 30% over a 12-month period
- Can vary if the travel is spread out evenly over the year or if it will be more towards the beginning/end
- Maximum 5-6 trips per year Up to 2 international trips maximum (Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France), the rest is domestic
- Some are day trips. You can stay or commute
- Projected breakdown
- 80% are 1-week trips
- 10% to 20% are 2-week trips
- 3-week trips (try to avoid these, if possible)
- Occasional emergency travel (corporate jet) once per year, if at all.
- Vast majority of travel is given a 3 to 8-month notice. Approximate dates are shown but may change slightly
- Work around PTO/vacations
This role is a full-time onsite position.
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
