Power BI Developer

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data models and visual solutions.
• Integrate data from diverse sources including SQL databases, cloud data lakes (Azure Data Lake), Hadoop ecosystems, and APIs such as RESTful services.
• Optimize ETL pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), ensuring high performance in large-scale data environments.
• Design robust data models utilizing dimensional modeling principles for scalable data warehousing solutions.
• Implement advanced analytics features like model training, predictive insights, and trend analysis within Power BI dashboards.
• Support data management integration efforts by working with tools such as Informatica, Talend, Apache Hive, Spark, and Looker for comprehensive data solutions.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in query management, database design, and cloud database deployment on platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Participate in Agile development cycles to deliver iterative enhancements and new features efficiently.

• Proven experience with Power BI development including dashboard creation and report automation.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle databases, and cloud-based SQL databases such as Azure Data Lake or similar platforms.
• Extensive knowledge of big data systems including Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, and related technologies for large-scale data processing.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica or Talend for seamless data integration workflows.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Looker or similar platforms for comprehensive analytics solutions.
• Programming skills in Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), or Shell Scripting for automation and advanced data manipulation tasks.
• Understanding of cloud computing environments including AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Microsoft Azure Public Cloud services.
• Expertise in data modeling techniques such as dimensional modeling for effective data warehousing design.
• Knowledge of RESTful API integration for connecting various data sources and services.
• Strong analysis skills to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Experience working within Agile teams to deliver continuous value through iterative development cycles.
