Job description

The IT Systems Specialist provides hands-on technical support and systems administration for corporate and clinical locations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, network, Microsoft 365, and endpoint issues while ensuring users receive timely, effective support. The position supports daily IT operations, technology deployments, user onboarding and offboarding, and the maintenance of secure and reliable technology services across the organization., * Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for employees across corporate and clinic locations.

  • Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, peripheral equipment, and related connectivity issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Windows, and business application issues.
  • Assist with user account administration in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Support device management activities through Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, including setup, configuration, deployment, and basic remediation.
  • Assist with software deployment, patching, endpoint configuration, and workstation refresh activities.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset and inventory records for hardware, software, peripherals, and assigned equipment.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including account provisioning, access changes, equipment preparation, equipment collection, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot local network, wireless, VPN, firewall, and internet connectivity issues in coordination with internal resources and third-party vendors.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, scanners, scan-to-email functions, and other technology used in clinic operations.
  • Provide onsite technical support at affiliated clinic locations and coordinate with clinic staff to minimize disruption during support, maintenance, or project work.
  • Support healthcare applications, clinical technology, and related integrations as assigned.
  • Assist with system upgrades, migrations, hardware replacements, and other IT projects as directed by management.
  • Follow company security policies, privacy requirements, and IT procedures, including HIPAA-related data protection practices.
  • Assist with access reviews, audit support, remediation tasks, and timely escalation of potential security incidents.
  • Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and project updates in the organization's ticketing or documentation systems.
  • Ability to travel out of state is required.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management., The noise level in the work environment is that found in a normal office or clinic environment; noise levels during visits to other locations may be moderate and occasionally loud. Regular onsite work at the Stoughton, MA headquarters is required. Travel to affiliated clinic locations is required for technical support, equipment deployment, troubleshooting, and project assistance. Travel may account for approximately 25% to 50% of work time, depending on operational needs and project schedules. Occasional early morning, evening, or urgent support may be required.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems, endpoint support, networking, security practices, Microsoft 365, and systems administration.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktops and laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, network, user access, printer, and scanner issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, clinic staff, and leadership.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive company, employee, patient, and customer information.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong multitasking, follow-through, documentation, and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and prioritization skills., Associate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered. Zero to two years IT support experience in a corporate or healthcare environment preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Azure services, remote management tools, healthcare technology environments, or electronic health record systems is preferred, but not required. CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar certifications are a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and technical documentation. Ability to prepare routine reports, ticket notes, user instructions, and correspondence. Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users. Requires excellent grammar and spelling.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret basic usage, inventory, and support metrics as needed.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to troubleshoot problems involving several concrete variables in standardized and non-standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel between the Stoughton, MA headquarters and affiliated clinic locations as needed.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Requires the ability to operate standard office and IT-related equipment, including computers, keyboards, phones, printers, scanners, mobile devices, network equipment, and audiovisual equipment. Requires proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and other business applications as needed.
