Job description
Safeguard product integrity and regulatory/customer compliance by auditing processes, confirming adherence to standards, and partnering with operations to eliminate defects before they leave the floor., * Operator oversight: verify inspection/testing activities to maintain control of materials, parts, packaging, palletization, and labeling.
- Traceability: ensure Production maintains complete, accurate records per procedures.
- Label accuracy: confirm each item's label content and print quality are correct.
- Hold review: assess held product against customer specs and internal standards.
- Issue resolution: support internal/external quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
- CI participation: contribute to SPC, capability studies, and QMS activities.
- Risk-based audits: randomly audit jobs with known issues; collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisors, Managers, and Engineering.
- Control plan execution: perform checks and record results with accuracy and speed.
- Pack-out quality: monitor finished goods packing to uphold a Zero Defects target.
- Inspection mix: conduct visual, dimensional, and color inspections per procedures.
- Machine audits: complete daily audits to verify setup and standard adherence.
- Process conformance: ensure processes run to established quality standards.
- Reporting: document audit findings and communicate to the right supervisors.
- Nonconformance control: place product on hold per procedure; notify Quality and Production Supervisors of rejects.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Capabilities you bring
- Color vision sufficient to pass a color test with "Normal" results.
- Ability to learn blueprint, schematic, and technical drawing interpretation.
- Comfort reading safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedures.
- Clear written communication for reports, forms, and correspondence.
- Math fundamentals: proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with office/quality software.
- Measurement proficiency with required tools and equipment.
- Practical problem-solving; follow instructions delivered in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to handle multi-variable issues in standardized situations.
- Strong communication and positive teamwork with peers and supervisors.
- Desire for ongoing training and skill development.
