Job description

  • Configure, develop, and optimize machine vision systems for automated manufacturing applications.
  • Support the implementation and commissioning of vision-guided robotic automation for new production lines.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and optimize vision systems to improve accuracy, reliability, and production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with controls, process, and project engineers to integrate automation solutions into manufacturing operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to robotics, vision systems, PLCs, and automated equipment.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, quality, and equipment performance.
  • Support new product launches by assisting with automation implementation, validation, and production readiness.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve system performance.
  • Manage engineering projects while ensuring timelines, budgets, and performance objectives are achieved.
  • Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, suppliers, and customers to deliver successful automation solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, machine vision, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong experience with industrial machine vision systems.
  • Experience integrating and supporting industrial robotics (Epson experience preferred; comparable robotic platforms welcomed).
  • Knowledge of automation controls and PLC troubleshooting is highly preferred.
  • Experience with industrial automation software and technologies such as KV Studio, RPA, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Project management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional engineering team.

Preferred Experience:

  • Automotive or other highly automated manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
  • CAD experience (2D required; 3D preferred).
  • Experience supporting capital equipment or automation implementation projects.
