Job description
We are seeking an on-site DevOps Engineer build and operate the cloud platform behind iClassPro. Our infrastructure spans a multi-account AWS organization, a microservices architecture, and a polyglot codebase (TypeScript, .NET, Rust, PHP/Laravel, Python). As a DevOps Engineer, you'll own meaningful pieces of our infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability tooling - taking a loosely-defined problem ("our RDS costs are climbing," "deploys are flaky for service X"), scoping it, and shipping a solution with minimal hand-holding., * Write and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform across our AWS estate - ECS/Fargate, Lambda, RDS, SQS, S3, and networking (VPC/IPAM)
- Own CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions across 90+ repositories - build/test/deploy workflows, reusable actions, and our self-hosted runner fleet - helping teams ship safely and quickly
- Support our multi-account AWS foundation on AFT (Account Factory for Terraform) / Control Tower - account provisioning, guardrails, and cross-region disaster recovery
- Build and extend internal tooling - a collection of DevOps CLIs and Lambdas (Rust and Python) for ECS exec, autoscaling, RDS parameter management, SQS inspection, and more
- Improve observability and reliability with Sentry, Honeycomb, and OpenTelemetry - dashboards, alerts, SLOs, and tracing instrumentation so we catch problems before customers do
- Operate and tune data infrastructure - RDS (MySQL/Postgres), DMS migrations, and backup/restore tooling
- Manage secrets and access via AWS IAM and Secrets Manager, following least-privilege practices
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in DevOps, SRE, platform, or cloud infrastructure engineering
- Solid hands-on AWS experience (compute, networking, IAM, RDS, and serverless)
- Production experience with infrastructure as code - Terraform
- Strong CI/CD skills, ideally with GitHub Actions
- Comfortable with Docker and container-based deployment (ECS/Fargate or similar)
- Competent scripting in at least one of Python, TypeScript/Node, or Bash
- Working knowledge of observability practices - metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
- Comfortable owning problems end-to-end and communicating clearly in a distributed team
