Job description

  • Conduct "business to business" sales calls on manufacturing and food processing facilities throughout the region for parts, service and service agreements.
  • This is an introductory role into the compressor industry focusing on the Mechanical contracting business.
  • Provide customer service, sales, & technical support to sales force and customers.
  • Promote and encourage "Profit Management" to ensure a profitable future for the company.
  • Understand & implement policy to achieve both customer & company goals.
  • Work closely with sales, fabrication & vendors to facilitate the sales effort & meet customer requirements.
  • Evaluate customer bid requirements, specifications, and other pertinent data.

Prepare proposals using vendor software, sales catalogs and cost estimates according to technical and performance requirements.

  • Aid in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems.
  • Notify inside and outside staff of new products & processes as needed.
  • Facilitate prompt remedy of customer technical problems, complaints & failures.
  • Maintain organization of order files, monitor in-house orders & assist sales & fabrication with project related questions.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have 1+ years' experience with air compressor service or sales or other sales - automotive, heavy equipment, rental yard, industrial supplies, etc.
  • Must be able to work independently to achieve targeted results.
  • Well-organized and self-motivated.
  • Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills.
  • Effective negotiating skills.
  • Project management experience and team work skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines.

Training/Certifications: Training will be provided.

Shift Time: Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm.

Travel: Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines.

Education: College degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
