DeVops Engineer - Build Master

Build master Overview: The Buildmaster is responsible for managing and governing the software build and release ecosystem, ensuring source code integrity, efficient development workflows, and reliable software delivery across all development streams., * Administer and maintain GitLab, including repositories, groups, permissions, branching strategies, and merge request processes.

• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, testing, deployments, and release management.
• Oversee source code management, repository governance, version control standards, and code promotion processes.
• Coordinate and manage code merges, branching, tagging, and release activities across multiple development streams.
• Monitor build health, pipeline performance, and deployment success rates; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve build, deployment, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure streamlined software delivery.
• Help establish and enforce best practices for code management, release processes, and DevOps standards.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and development practices.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab, source control management, and repository administration.
• Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks desired.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar).
• Coding knowledge or experience.
• Knowledge of branching, merging, versioning, and release management methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with DevOps tools, cloud platforms - docker ideally, and infrastructure automation.
