Job description
Our client conducts R&D and prototyping of new CNO capabilities for the end customer. The work involves Vulnerability Research, Exploit Development, CNO tool development and enhancement, and infrastructure support (DevOps). Platforms involved include iOS, Android, MacOS, Linux, Windows, and other environments. This is some of the most impactful work in the Intelligence Community, with the new capabilities developed by this team getting rapidly deployed and into the hands of users. One of the best things about this project is the customer. They give Engineers huge latitude in choosing programming languages and technologies, and they encourage exploration of new tech. There is almost no distinction here between blue-badgers and green-badgers: the team is highly-competent, and the Branch and Section Leads do an excellent job of shielding the engineers from any organizational politics., * Design, develop, and implement embedded software capabilities in C.
- Conduct reverse engineering of embedded systems, binaries, and firmware.
- Collaborate with senior subject matter experts and leverage their mentorship to expand your skills.
- Apply vulnerability research and CNO skills to discover and implement novel solutions.
- Contribute to efforts that directly enhance national security and protect critical systems.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware-Savvy CNO Developer to join the Firmware team to support mission-critical cyber operations and development of new and existing capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in low-level systems programming, embedded development, and Windows internals, with a passion for solving complex technical challenges in secure and virtualized environments., * Strong proficiency (5-10 years) in C Programming
- Experience analyzing and/or developing firmware
- Experience doing reverse engineering on diverse architectures
- Familiarity with RE tools and environments (IDA Pro, Ghidra, binary analysis platforms)
- Experience with vulnerability research
- 2+ years of cybersecurity/CNO-specific development
- Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or something extremely similar)
Benefits & conditions
Salary: $130,000 - $250,000 annually Depending on Experience.
