Job description
We are seeking an experienced MacOS Server Administrator to manage and maintain MacOS servers within a data center environment. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with security controls and organizational standards through hands-on administration, patching, and the automation of software and security updates using scripting tools. This position involves a hybrid work schedule requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite from day one., * Manage MacOS Server administration tasks and ensure servers are updated in compliance with security controls.
- Perform hands-on management of MacOS Servers and their patching schedules in a data center environment.
- Collaborate with the support team to implement server management plans.
- Resolve network identification and IP conflicts, and oversee DHCP and server IP configuration.
- Utilize expertise in managed OS environments, software packaging, and installation to ensure servers operate securely.
- Ensure servers are current with security software and OS updates.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Server Administrator is required, including extensive experience with MacOS Servers.
Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of server administration concepts.
- Familiarity with MacOS Server scripting and automation for software patch installations and security updates.
- Knowledge of DHCP, server IP configuration, and resolving network conflicts.
- Knowledge of managed OS, software packaging, and installation.
- Proficiency in server configuration and scripting.
- Knowledge of Workspace One, Tanium, Jamf, and other server access and security profile configuration software.
- Understanding of server virtualization.
- Primary skills in MacOS and iOS.
Professional Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
