Job description
- Support engineering development projects as a Systems Test Engineer.
- Design, develop, and execute hardware, software, and system tests.
- Responsibilities include test planning, test case development, test execution, defect management, and reporting.
- Manage full life cycle development, integration and test, requirements analysis, and architecture design.
- Utilize tools such as DOORS, JIRA, and Microsoft Project., * Responsible for the design, development, and execution of tests for products (hardware, software, systems) to ensure quality, functionality, and reliability.
- Create detailed test plans, strategies, and procedures based on requirements.
- Develop specific test cases and scripts for various tests (functional, performance, security, etc.).
- Execute tests, monitor development and production processes, and manage controlled testing environments.
- Identify, document, report, and track software/hardware and product defects.
- Collaborate with development teams, process engineers, and management to provide insights and suggest improvements.
- Analyze test results, document findings, and prepare/present test engineering work products to internal and external customers.
- Interact daily with technical leads, program managers, planners, technicians, and other engineers.
- Drive tasks to completion independently while collaborating with colleagues and customers.
- Travel up to 15% in support of project execution and testing.
Requirements
- Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Years of experience: 2+ years
- Total Compensation: $188k+ yearly (tentative), * Experience with hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation and allocation, or architecture design.
- Proficient in executing test engineering tasks including requirements analysis, design review support, formal validation planning, test, verification, and risk management.
- Experience with DOORS, JIRA, and MagicDraw (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Active Secret Clearance preferred; Secret eligibility required.
