Job description
Our healthcare client is seeking a Network Engineer to support and enhance its enterprise network environment. Reporting to the Network Manager, this individual will help maintain network availability, perform troubleshooting, and support a Cisco-based LAN/WAN and wireless infrastructure. The role includes both day-to-day network operations and participation in infrastructure improvement initiatives. Location
- Michigan (Kalamazoo, Three Rivers, or Allegan), Network Operations & Support
- Monitor and maintain network performance and availability across the Cisco network environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, hardware, and software issues involving Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Utilize network monitoring tools to identify and address network performance issues.
- Provide Level I-III support and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Infrastructure & Engineering
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco wired and wireless network solutions.
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades and network improvement projects.
- Collaborate with IT teams to standardize network configurations and support security initiatives.

- Network Troubleshooting, * Associate's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Cisco network engineering or network administration.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level network environments., * Cisco certifications (CCNA and/or CCNP).
- Experience working in a healthcare environment.
- Experience with VPNs, network security, and network segmentation.
- Experience coordinating with vendors and supporting network upgrades or migrations.
- Strong documentation skills and focus on process improvement.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
