Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in C# and.NET to join our dynamic development team. This role provides technical leadership, mentors junior developers, participates in architectural decisions, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade applications. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting software applications that interface with hardware devices, embedded systems, instrumentation, and industrial equipment. This role combines advanced C#/.NET software development expertise with hands-on experience in hardware integration, device communication protocols, troubleshooting, and system-level testing., * Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C#, .NET, and Windows technologies.
- Develop software that interfaces with hardware devices, sensors, controllers, RF Electronics ( like Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope) test equipment, or industrial systems.
- Implement communication protocols such as Serial (RS-232/RS-485), USB, TCP/IP, Ethernet, CAN Bus, Modbus, SPI, and I2C.
- Create user interfaces using WPF, WinForms, or modern .NET technologies.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop diagnostic, monitoring, and control applications for hardware systems.
- Perform system integration, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware/software solutions.
- Analyze system performance and optimize software reliability, responsiveness, and scalability.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for hardware and software issues in development and production environments.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex projects.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, and design specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field., * Experience in industrial automation, semiconductor equipment, robotics, aerospace, or manufacturing systems.
- Knowledge of firmware development and embedded programming.
- Experience with PLCs, motion control systems, or instrumentation.
- Familiarity with Azure IoT, MQTT, OPC-UA, or industrial communication standards.
- Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
- 8+ years of software development experience using C# and .NET technologies.
- Strong experience with hardware-software integration and system-level debugging.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET Core/.NET, WPF, WinForms, and multithreaded application development.
- Experience with communication protocols such as USB, Serial, Ethernet, CAN, Modbus, or TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller-based hardware.
- Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and system architecture.
- Experience with SQL Server, Git, SVN, and Agile development methodologies., * C#: 8 years (Preferred)
