Job description

You start your week on-site at a manufacturing plant, walking the floor with maintenance leaders and health and safety managers. You listen, observe, and document how equipment is currently isolated and verified. By midweek, you're mapping energy control points and drafting clear, step-by-step shutdown procedures. You lead an engaging Authorized LOTO training, coach a new internal trainer through a Train-the-Trainer session, and close the week by presenting gap analyses with practical, best-practice recommendations. Throughout, you coordinate closely with our Lockout Field Technicians and keep the customer informed-from kickoff through delivery-ensuring every milestone is met., * Provide technical assistance and subject-matter expertise while collaborating with management to develop, prepare, and implement LOTO policies and procedures.

  • Assess existing lockout programs to identify performance gaps and recommend improvements grounded in industry best practices.
  • Develop and present customized courseware for Train-the-Trainer and Authorized Lockout/Tagout Training.
  • Manage customer relationships and involvement throughout the entire sales and service delivery process.
  • Partner with Lockout Field Technicians and act as the SME for creating machine-specific energy control procedures.
  • Design and support the implementation of tailored lockout/tagout programs.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Travel and stakeholder engagement

Expect frequent travel across the United States to plants and facilities, interfacing regularly with maintenance managers, health and safety managers, and other senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Excellent management and supervisory abilities.
  • Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA and ANSI/ASSP standards, with specific proficiency in OSHA 1910.147 and ANSI/ASSP Z244.1.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Proven ability to conduct training and develop training materials.

Experience and credentials

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in the OSH field required; senior-level management experience highly preferred., * Bachelor's Degree
