Job description
Seeking an Associate AI Software Developer to support the development of AI-enabled automation, workflow, and data-integration solutions for a federal customer. The successful candidate will work with business analysts, developers, automation engineers, and customer stakeholders to help design, build, test, and improve software-enabled automation solutions. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, self-motivated, and comfortable working in an environment where part of the value will come from helping a business-process team adopt and apply newer tools, platforms, and technical capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Support the development of AI-enabled applications, workflow solutions, and business-process automation capabilities. Assist with building, testing, and maintaining attended and unattended automation bots. Help integrate data from multiple systems, databases, files, applications, and APIs. Support the use of AI and large language model capabilities in practical software and automation solutions. Develop or configure scripts, workflows, dashboards, user interfaces, connectors, or application components as assigned. Work with functional and technical team members to understand requirements and translate them into working solution components. Support testing, troubleshooting, debugging, documentation, deployment, and post-implementation refinement. Learn and apply secure development, data-handling, and federal customer requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, data science, artificial intelligence, engineering, or a related technical field. Demonstrated academic, internship, project, or professional experience developing software, automation, workflow applications, AI-enabled applications, or data-integration solutions. Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, SQL, or a comparable language. Basic understanding of APIs, databases, data structures, application interfaces, and system integration concepts. Familiarity with AI, machine learning, large language models, business-process automation, or workflow automation. Experience using Microsoft tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Azure, or related technologies. Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and teamwork skills. Self-starter with curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to learn new tools and technologies. Ability to work effectively in a customer-focused and evolving technical environment. U.S. citizenship is required.
