Job description
As a Senior Software Engineer II at GreenSlate, you will take technical ownership of a core component of the entertainment industry's most advanced production finance application, working within a fast-paced, craft-focused engineering team that values SOLID principles, thoughtful code reviews, and test-driven development across a modern stack of React, .NET, TypeScript, and MS SQL. You will collaborate daily with engineers across New York, Los Angeles, and Costa Rica, with real opportunities to shape the architecture and grow your skills through peer learning, technical sessions, and ongoing online learning. Your code directly powers the platform that studios, film franchises, and content creators rely on every day., * Work within a fast-paced development environment backed by a solid SDLC, including branching, pull requests, CI, and QA
- Participate in thorough peer code reviews on every pull request before merging
- Apply SOLID principles, best practices, and software craftsmanship in daily work
- Participate in daily stand-ups across New York, Los Angeles, and Costa Rica
- Engage in pair programming, code reviews, and cross-team collaboration
- Complete an extensive onboarding covering company context, technologies, architecture, and practices
- Access continued online learning via platforms like Pluralsight and frequent technical learning sessions
- Work with a fully responsive single-page application (SPA) powered by a RESTful API
- Practice test-driven development (TDD) for relevant functionality
- Create architecture documents for new features and have them reviewed by senior team members prior to development
- Participate in the development of an enterprise application built on MS SQL, Dapper, Entity Framework, .NET API, TypeScript, Kendo UI, and MVVM
- Take technical ownership over a meaningful part of an application, revolutionizing the content production industry
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
