Job description

How we grow together - We improve through honest feedback and bold thinking

  • Optimistic alchemy: optimists who collaborate with genuine care
  • Empathetic challengers: direct, caring feedback to help each other grow
  • Bold contrarians: think differently, try new approaches

How we move fast - We fight complexity and focus on what matters

  • Disciplined execution: decisive action with compounding focus
  • Fight for simplicity: high-impact processes, smart frugality

The opportunity

You'll be the architect of our health transformation - building the mobile foundation that becomes a trusted daily health partner for millions of members worldwide.

You'll drive impact across two critical dimensions:

Engineering excellence

  • Build rock-solid mobile foundations. architecting for performance, scalability, and quality that can support our global ambitions
  • Craft beautiful, delightful experiences. creating smooth, emotionally resonant interactions that members actually love using
  • Enable globalisation at scale. designing systems and experiences that work seamlessly across markets and cultures

The health mission

  • Transform how members engage with health - crafting meaningful features that help them connect their data, understand progress, and celebrate wins
  • Unlock smarter health insights - expanding our data integration to deliver genuinely personalised journeys that evolve with each member
  • Make wellness irresistible - bringing gamification to life through challenges, streaks, and reward loops that feel meaningful, not gimmicky
  • Strengthen member trust - elevating communication within the app to inspire consistency, motivation, and long-term behavioural change.

Why this role is special

You're not just building features or maintaining infrastructure - you're converging on something bigger. You'll work at the intersection of health impact, technical excellence, and design craft, where every decision ripples across our entire member experience and global growth.

Requirements

We are looking for mobile engineers with at least two years of mobile development experience:

  • We're looking for engineers with strong experience in React Native, Expo, and iOS or Android development.
  • You've worked across iOS (Objective-C/Swift) and Android (Java/Kotlin), understand platform-specific nuances, and know how to optimise performance and implement platform-specific solutions when needed.
  • You have hands-on experience building and deploying mobile apps across multiple markets, navigating the complexities of the app stores and real-world production environments.
  • You're familiar with mobile testing frameworks and debugging tools.
  • You're enthusiastic about teamwork, genuinely excited about learning from others and sharing knowledge with your peers.
  • Fluent in English (no need to speak French!).

About the company

Alan exists to end the wait. Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it's coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It's not solely a question of willpower. It's the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way. So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience. We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR. Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 800+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
