Job description
As a Data Science & Machine Learning Engineering Consultant, you will be in our AI & Data team, which is part of the Strategy & Consulting practice. You will work directly with our clients in the Netherlands and sometimes also abroad to advise them on their data challenges. Your work can vary from advice on the big data platform and architecture they (need to) work on, to building scalable AI solutions by making use of state-of-the art technologies. As part of your day to day activities, you will be working with the largest big data vendors in the world and the top clients in the Netherlands and abroad.
People:
- Partner with clients to identify the most suitable data solutions and understand their specific needs to define solution architecture designs.
- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment of objectives.
- Collaborate closely with clients to define solution architecture designs that meet their business requirements.
Processes:
- Analyze large, complex datasets and prepare them for various data science use cases, ensuring data quality and relevance.
- Develop scalable data pipelines and machine learning solutions, optimizing data flow, and ensuring efficient processing.
- Drive the productionization of machine learning models in cloud environments, following established best practices.
- Build GenAI-powered applications or intelligent AI agents that support decision-making or automate processes.
Technology and Data:
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and machine learning solutions using appropriate technologies and frameworks.
- Apply a diverse array of machine learning techniques to extract insights and deliver value from data.
- Develop production-ready code for machine learning models and ensure successful deployment and management in cloud platforms.

Requirements
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or Econometrics, Business Analytics, or Information Management) with a specific emphasis on data.
- 3+ years of professional experience in creating and maintaining data pipeline architectures, identify data related process improvements and build tools that enable data science activities.
- You know your way around relevant programming languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.), Machine Learning techniques (Neural Networks, Random Forest, etc.), Cloud computing (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and ML frameworks (PyTorch, Tenserflow, etc.).
- Familiar with Git, DevOps principles, command line, Spark, Docker and API frameworks
- You have proven affinity with data.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You have good communication skills.
- You can translate business requirements into data solutions.
- You have excellent stakeholder management skills.
