Job description

  • Design, develop and maintain bespoke web applications, internal tools and business software.
  • Build responsive, user-friendly frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs for internal and third-party integrations.
  • Support backend services, databases and automation processes.
  • Work within Linux-based environments using modern development and deployment practices.
  • Troubleshoot, test, document and continuously improve existing applications.
  • Help maintain reliable, scalable systems supporting a high-volume online business.
  • Write clean, secure and maintainable code following best development practices.

Requirements

  • We are looking for a well-rounded Software Developer with experience across frontend, backend and API development.
  • We ideally want experience with Node.js, React, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • We ideally want experience building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • We ideally want experience with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • We ideally want experience working in Linux development environments.
  • We ideally want experience with Git, GitHub and modern deployment workflows.
  • We want someone who writes secure, scalable and maintainable software.
  • We want experience supporting applications in high-availability or high-traffic environments.
  • We want a proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work across multiple technologies.
  • Beneficial experience includes Python or Ruby on Rails, Java, Docker, Redis, Nginx, CI/CD pipelines, cloud hosting platforms, mobile application development, performance optimisation, application security, API integrations and webhook development.
