Job description
Welcome to the Analytics team at Gousto! Based at our London HQ, you will join us as an individual contributor reporting directly to our Analytics Manager. You will be embedded within a cross-functional tribe, partnering closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow analysts to influence key business choices and drive operational performance.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build the technical foundations of your data craft within a supportive, collaborative environment. In this role, you will work across the full analysis lifecycle, from data extraction and manipulation to advanced visualisation and communication, delivering clear insights that help expand our customer base and optimise day-to-day operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver clear, accurate insights to defined requests from your tribe, working with your manager and senior peers to shape the approach
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, tailoring the level of detail to the audience
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of dashboards that scale insight and enable proactive performance monitoring
- Investigate anomalies and trends in day-to-day performance, forming hypotheses and testing them against the data
- Build reusable, well-documented data models and code that other analysts can pick up and extend
- Actively seek and act on feedback to improve the quality of your work
- Understand how your work ladders up to your tribe's OKRs and align your priorities accordingly
- Contribute to Analytics knowledge sharing and improving ways of working
Requirements
- Brings a structured problem-solving approach and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain analysis to non-technical stakeholders
- Shows a genuine interest in the commercial context behind the data - understanding what a metric means for the business, not just how to calculate it
- Feels comfortable writing SQL to extract, transform and interrogate data in a modern cloud data warehouse such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery or similar
- Experience presenting data through a BI tool such as Looker or Tableau as a plus
- Maintains familiarity with web or product analytics platforms like GA4, Mixpanel, or Amplitude, and understands how event data supports decision-making as a plus
- Possesses a curious, learning mindset, actively seeking feedback and motivated to grow both technical and stakeholder skills
- Enjoys collaborating across cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers and other analysts
