Job description
- We provide onsite first-line IT support across school sites within approximately one hour of SG4.
- We troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- We install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
- We set up and manage user accounts and access permissions.
- We monitor and analyse network performance, including VPN, LAN, DNS, and firewall environments.
- We collaborate with team members to resolve IT issues and implement solutions.
- We document and track support tickets using Freshdesk.
- We assist with software installations and updates.
- We carry out regular system maintenance, including backups and updates.
- We attend schools according to a daily schedule and provide hands-on IT support and advice to our customers.
- We support a wide range of hardware, including PCs, laptops, tablets, Wi-Fi, servers, backup systems, projectors, and interactive displays.
- We support cloud and server-based software platforms, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, school MIS systems, Windows Server, Hyper-V, and VMware.
- We provide face-to-face support on cyber security, data protection, and accessibility issues.

Requirements
- We require a relevant Level 3 industry-specific qualification.
- We require demonstrable working knowledge of InTune.
- We require demonstrable experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365/Office 365, Google Workspace, Windows operating systems, Android, and iOS.
- We require at least two years of experience in a First Line IT support role.
- We require strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- We require proficiency in computer hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- We require knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, LANs, DNS, and firewalls.
- We require excellent communication skills and the ability to support users professionally and in line with our values.
- We require resilience, compassion, flexibility, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- We require a methodical and well-organised approach.
- We require a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
- We require access to your own suitable vehicle for work purposes.
- We require the right to work in the UK.
- We require you to be within a one-hour commute of SG4 and willing to travel to site daily.
- We require experience working on-site in an IT support environment.
- We would love experience working in education.
- We would love experience working for an MSP.
- We would love familiarity with a structured, fast-paced, and professional working environment.
