We are committed to delivering secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions while providing exceptional support to our employees, tenants, and customers., JL Properties, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Systems Administrator to join our team Information Technology team. The Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of JL Properties' core IT infrastructure: servers, networks, identity, cloud platforms, security and compliance tooling, backup, and telephony. This role administers, configures, and maintains the on-premises and cloud systems on which the organization depends, keeping them stable, secure, and reliable., * Administer and maintain core IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, cloud services, identity platforms, and business systems.

  • Support Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and related enterprise technologies.
  • Manage and monitor server, virtualization, and cloud environments to maintain performance, reliability, and security.
  • Maintain network connectivity and infrastructure across company locations, including wired, wireless, and remote-access technologies.
  • Support cybersecurity, compliance, and data protection initiatives through the administration of security and monitoring platforms.
  • Manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure business continuity and data availability.
  • Support telecommunications, collaboration platforms, and related business technologies.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system records.
  • Assist with technology projects, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalating when appropriate.
  • Utilize automation and scripting tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal IT staff, vendors, and business stakeholders to support organizational technology needs.
  • Provide after-hours support as needed and perform other related duties as assigned., This position has no direct reports. The Systems Administrator works under the direction of the IT Manager and collaborates within the IT Department on infrastructure matters.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of systems and/or desktop administration experience.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Familiarity with basic enterprise networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)., * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V), hybrid identity (Entra Connect), and SharePoint Online administration.
  • Experience with the Ubiquiti (UniFi) networking platform preferred.
  • Exposure to backup/recovery solutions and basic scripting (PowerShell).
  • Experience in a multi-site environment.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Microsoft 365 certifications.
  • CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+.

Other Requirements

  • Valid Alaska driver's license and possession of a functional, insured vehicle.
