What You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities)
- Serve as the primary technical authority for custom industrial systems, successfully bridging the gap between raw engineering design and external client needs.
- Manage a steady volume of incoming technical consultations via phone and email to thoroughly investigate client application requirements.
- Apply fundamental mechanical principles to analyze client data, trouble-shoot process challenges, and deliver optimized equipment proposals.
- Utilize advanced, automated software platforms to generate, refine, and deliver precision technical quotes rapidly.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal sales and engineering divisions to solve complex manufacturing bottlenecks and suggest alternative system designs.
- Maintain detailed project files and configuration records to ensure seamless handoffs to the production floor.
Requirements
- SOFTWARE: Automated engineering software platform (simplifies design calculations and quotes)
- EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of mechanical design, application engineering, or industrial technical support
