Job description
- The right candidate is expected to be proficient in their field and is committed to strengthening applicable standards and compliance requirements from the federal government, the state, the Board of Regents of the University System, and Georgia State University.
- Daily, the website managers will work with others who manage marketing, communication, and outcomes assessment to support their assigned units' vision, mission, and strategic plan. To accomplish these goals requires a meaningful contribution to the planning of market communications and promotional strategies, content distribution, feedback, event activities, and materials that support the array of services the units offer. The execution of this work will often include mutually supportive cross communications of the various service units available throughout the university that support other departments.
- Work includes preparing and updating material for assigned websites. This work may be routine and accomplished in a ticketing system or require a though project plan. Completed work is evaluated by management from a continual improvement perspective to better the quality and increase the team member's skills.
- The role develops a plan and is comfortable assigning tasks to others they work with, can build wireframes when required, creates content, coordinates reviews, and executes distribution within specified internal and external deadlines. The use of Google Analytics (GA) is essential, and a successful candidate will love the platforms we use beyond GA to gain insight and improve the user's experience.
- Website managers work closely with central with PR and Marketing Communications personnel, as applicable, regarding appropriate and valid use of assets in matters of official University marks, photography, video, and writing standards.
- Website managers promote the digital team in various meetings and across a broad constituency, including presentations at learning sessions, new employee orientations, staff programs, and events.

Requirements
We're looking for an individual who possesses technical and interpersonal skills as their job activities continually bounce between the management aspects of WordPress and meaningful collaborative institutional relationships with others at the university. We value people who are additive to the culture of a small and nimble team who defines themselves as innovators through continual improvement, critical thinking, and discovery., * Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a business field and three years of enterprise-level content management system experience or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Requirements:
- Preferred candidates will have a background in operations of large-scale in a college or university setting.
- Current knowledge and experience also in HTML/XHTML, CSS, WordPress, and SEO optimization.
- Knowledge and use of project management systems
- Advanced knowledge and experience with current versions of Adobe Creative Suite, with particular emphasis on the use of Photoshop and XD
- You know about typography, digital photography, and video production in a responsive framework.
- Skilled in UI design and content creation as it relates to web assets and the integration of external systems.
- You will have a proven record of successful remote work.
- You have two years of experience planning and documenting information architecture and are comfortable with the process of website discovery with clients.
- Must have three years of experience using Apple OS, iOS, Android
- One year of experience with Google Analytics campaign and event tracking
- One year experience building Google Data Studio reports
