Job description
- Design, implement, and maintain WAN, LAN, and SDWAN infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
- Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance on network architecture, upgrades, and emerging technologies to meet evolving business needs.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, producing low-level designs and solution implementation.
- Lead network projects, acting as both team leader and individual contributor to deliver on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and managed service providers, ensuring requirements are understood and met effectively.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations, designs, standards, and operational processes.
- Assist with incidents & escalations related to networking services or performance, troubleshooting to resolution the problem areas as needed.
- Ensure compliance with security and reliability standards, implementing best practices for network resilience and risk mitigation.
- Produce and gain peer review approvals of RoC (Record of Change) documents for network changes.
- Gain change management approvals for network changes by submitting well formed ServiceNow change requests with all required details.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance network capabilities.
- Prepare operational readiness: create/maintain configuration standards, as built documentation, and support runbooks; store artefacts in SharePoint; hand off for UTOC management.
Requirements
- Minimum Cisco CCNP certification level required
o CCIE certification is desirable
- In depth knowledge of Wireless LAN and NAC solutions (Cisco WLAN, Cisco ISE, Aruba WLAN, Aruba ClearPass)
- In depth knowledge of SD-WAN solutions (CISCO Viptela)
- In depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), carrier WAN and Internet services.
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco LAN switching technologies including STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLANs, EtherChannel and switch stacking.
Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, implementing QoS, and managing network segmentation and redundancy.
- Ability to produce detailed designs, implementation plans, and operational support documents.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination across multiple environments.
Mandatory Skills: CISCO Wireless Admin .
