Job description
As a Junior Design Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers on a variety of land development projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build technical expertise while gaining hands-on project experience.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the planning and design of residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use land development projects.
- Prepare engineering plans, grading plans, utility layouts, stormwater management designs, and construction details under the guidance of licensed Professional Engineers.
- Develop and modify engineering drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Research municipal ordinances, zoning regulations, and applicable local and state design standards.
- Compile project data, mapping, and site information to support project planning and design.
- Participate in site visits, field investigations, and project meetings.
- Assist with permit applications, technical reports, calculations, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary design teams to help deliver high-quality projects on schedule.
- Support the preparation and review of site plan and subdivision applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
- 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience (internships and co-op experience are encouraged).
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and develop professionally.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year, * 401(k)
