A growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the East Valley is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. This position is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys working directly with clients, and can confidently manage complex systems across multiple businesses., You'll be responsible for supporting and optimizing a wide range of client infrastructures-including servers, networks, and cloud environments-while providing leadership to junior technical staff and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Strong usage of SonicWall Firewalls for all client site security; must have hands on, upper level experience with SonicWall., * Administer and support Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and network systems.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and related identity management services.
- Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity implementations.
- Monitor and maintain system performance across multiple client environments.
- Configure and manage switches, firewalls, and wireless networks (SonicWall, Meraki, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, etc.).
- Lead client onboarding, infrastructure assessments, and project rollouts.
- Serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2 support technicians.
- Maintain thorough documentation within RMM and PSA systems.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar IT role (MSP experience strongly preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V).
- Solid understanding of networking, including VLANs, VPNs, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Exchange administration.
- Proficiency with RMM/PSA tools (e.g., ConnectWise, NinjaOne, Datto, or similar).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to multitask across environments.
- Excellent communication and documentation habits.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (onsite client work required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CCNA.
- Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, HIPAA).
