Job description

Job Description: Design and manage elegant AWS and GCP infrastructure that powers mission-critical operations at scale, championing automation, security, and cost optimization while mentoring the team and partnering with leadership to shape cloud strategy. Responsibility: *Develop and implement cloud solutions on AWS and GCP from approved architecture designs - networking, security, storage, compute, and authentication components for both internal customers and internal cloud tooling *Lead project execution - estimating effort, breaking down work into tasks, and mentoring junior engineers to deliver on time and on budget using programming best practices *Partner with architecture leaders to plan and design cloud solutions across cloud-only and hybrid (on-prem) environments, managing risk around security, networking, authentication/authorization, and account structures *Collaborate with cloud engineers to understand, challenge, and communicate architectures, ensuring best practices while adapting to changing business requirements or technical constraints *Automate deployments and infrastructure provisioning using Terragrunt, Terraform, Python, and Ansible *Secure cloud environments - account management, access controls, firewalls, and threat detection *Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application issues *Monitor infrastructure for performance and cost - spotting bottlenecks, optimizing resource allocation, and building dashboards and alerting *Perform post-incident root cause analysis *Provide thought leadership on industry trends and IaC best practices *Build POCs to validate design patterns for key initiatives *Identify cost-saving opportunities while meeting SLAs *Participate in architecture reviews, project kickoffs, and post-mortems Requried Skills: *Deep understanding of AWS and GCP, including security, networking, IAM, authentication protocols, account management, and application services *Proven experience solving capacity challenges through
