Job description

Responsible for the installation, support, and maintenance of desktop and laptop computer systems, peripherals and software to ensure optimal workstation performance.

Tier 1 Support for Helpdesk

Assist in integrating computer equipment and peripherals to manufacturing equipment.
II-2. Key Roles and Responsibilities
-
Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.

Works under general supervision to support computer systems, software and peripherals, as directed, including documenting, installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading computer hardware and software.

Provides training and support to end users and staff on computer and software operation.

Documents, maintains, analyzes and repairs desktop software, computer systems, peripherals, and local and network printers.

Responds to telephone calls, emails, on-line Helpdesk tickets and personnel requests for computer support in a timely manner.

Communicates status or progress of any outstanding issues in a timely manner to affected group(s).

Researches and resolves desktop hardware and software related problems, collaborating with senior desktop technicians, network and system administrators or application analysts for more complex issues.

Creates, tests, and maintains procedures for desktop hardware and software management, suggesting improvements to current procedures as needed.

Maintains current knowledge of plan executables, and responds to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

May assist with the research and evaluation of computer products in support if PC procurement and development efforts.

May assist with developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future desktop computer hardware needs.

May assist in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Possess the ability to use the computer system for basic departmental functions.
Requirements
- 1 Year of IT experience Preferred but Not Required
II-3-2. Education
- Associate's Degree in related field or 2 years combination of education and applicable IT experience
II-3-3. Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems and MS Office Software

Possess ability to communicate to all levels using excellent written and verbal communication skills
